Synopsis:

In 1978, a charismatic but deeply disturbed man named Rodney Alcala appears as a contestant on the popular TV show The Dating Game—and wins a date with bachelorette Cheryl Bradshaw. Unbeknownst to the producers and the audience, Alcala is already a convicted sex offender and, at that time, an active serial killer.

“Woman of the Hour” follows the tension-filled buildup to that fateful episode, focusing on both Alcala and Cheryl.
